Bold Buffalo Coffee
Branding and packaging design

Brand Development | Packaging Design  |  Art Direction | AI Generated Mock-ups

Bold Buffalo Coffee is a commercial coffee brand developed for Stacy, a Buffalo, New York based entrepreneur looking to bring a stronger identity to the office coffee market. The initial project focused on creating a distinctive brand for a business providing commercial coffee machines and coffee service to workplaces, positioning Bold Buffalo as energetic, approachable, and memorable in a category that can often feel generic.

I developed the visual identity around a bold, contemporary aesthetic that could translate across everything from commercial equipment and signage to coffee packaging and retail style applications. The identity combines strong typography, a recognizable buffalo inspired symbol, and a high contrast color palette designed to give the brand personality while remaining flexible across physical and digital touchpoints.

I expanded the original branding project to explore Bold Buffalo as a consumer packaged goods brand, allowing me to demonstrate how the identity could extend into coffee bags, packaging systems, environmental graphics, and other branded applications. This exploration shows how a strong identity can grow beyond its original business model while maintaining a consistent visual language.

I also incorporated AI assisted image generation into the presentation process, creating realistic packaging and environmental mockups from my original designs. Through detailed prompting and art direction, I was able to control materials, lighting, perspective, environments, and brand placement while preserving the integrity of the original artwork. The project demonstrates not only branding and packaging design, but how AI can become a powerful production and visualization tool when guided by strong creative direction.
